To enhance the quality of life for the Washington Park area by advancing and strengthening the economic, health, civic and social interests while improving community pride and promoting active participation by all citizens.

CEC is a nonprofit community-based agency providing a wide range of services to all ages. CEC program offers a full range of high-quality community programs, events, social services, personal care, and volunteer services, all tailored to meet our client's needs.

We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors of seven. CEC works in collaboration with other providers in the region and its commitment to high-quality care and service excellence has been recognized through various awards including receiving a thank you letter from President Barack Obama.

We are committed to listening and responding to the needs of our residents and community partners. We are dedicated to address an individual’s needs and concerns, and to improve our services
to the community.

CEC services has helped over 7‚500 children and their families through outreach programs each year.
